DAVIS, Yolo County — October 22, 2026. Residents and visitors can plan trips using an updated eighth-edition Davis Bike Map, which the city’s Transportation Division lists as published in 2026. The project was prepared jointly by the City of Davis and UC Davis and is meant to help residents make use of bicycle and shared-use routes.
What the map shows
The official Transportation page provides the updated bike map. City descriptions identify bike lanes, shared-use paths, off-street trails and recommended connections. The map’s reverse side includes traffic rules, guidance on electric devices, contacts for local mobility organizations and the Davis Bike Loop.
Where to find the map
Open the city’s bicycle information page and locate the Maps and Data section. The city also says free printed copies have been available at City Hall, the Mary L. Stephens Davis Branch Library, Davis Senior Center and some bicycle stores. Check availability before making a special trip for a printed copy.
Different routes suit different riders
An on-street bicycle lane, neighborhood route and path separated from car traffic offer different conditions. Families, older riders and people using adaptive mobility equipment should consider crossings, surfaces, traffic volume and the level of experience needed. A published map is not a live report on construction or road closures.
What to check before an outing
- Pick a route that matches the rider’s experience and comfort level.
- Review relevant local rules on e-bikes or other electric mobility devices.
- Inspect important crossings and alternatives for a return trip.
- Look for current closure notices and follow posted signs.
The city also makes bicycle path and lane mapping data available for planning. California58 will distinguish that official infrastructure information from current safety conditions and original field reporting.
